its location in carlow was marvellous, very close to carlow for a night and the outskirts of the town and the centre of carlow town. and it's just a short walk away from joe's chinese restaurant,...

The staff were friendly and knowledgeable of vthe locality
Noise levels during the night. Lack of night security in corridor etc especially when an event is taking place.I would recemmend hotel only because of proffesionalism of manager in dealing with issues arising during stay and in hope it was a once off occurance

The final verdict on this
While the hotel offers a charming atmosphere and friendly staff, the outdated decor and occasional noise disturbances detract from the experience. The food quality is hit-or-miss, but the spacious family rooms and excellent service were great.

I enjoyed the ambiance of the Hotel, easy going, relaxed and efficient. I loved the expansive bedroom, so airy and roomy. Breakfast was really freshly cooked and enjoyable.
No bedside light! As I like bedtime reading this was dissapointing. Also it made it difficult getting out of bed and groping around for a light.

Fantastic, stunning location in Carlow, close enough to Carlow for a night or two, bars, restaurants and shops and the outskirts of the town. Reasonably priced food choices for breakfast.

The staff were very friendly. When I asked for extra milks the desk clerk sent up a jug. I did not find the time to use the leisure facilities but they looked good on the brochure.
The breakfast was not as hot as I would have liked but I did arrive 5 mins before the 10am deadline.

Couple looking for a getaway
This hotel was a real gem, the staff were friendly and the service was great! The breakfast area was well laid out with options, from hot food to fresh fruit.
It wasn't exactly a bargain but still reasonable for what you get.
